Cambridge English: Pre A1 Starters

Pre A1 Starters is the first level of three Cambridge English Qualifications designed for young learners. These tests introduce children to everyday written and spoken English and are an excellent away for them to gain confidence and improve their English.

The tests are written around familiar topics and focus on the skills needed to communicate effectively in English through listening, speaking, reading, and writing.

The module helps children to:
• understand basic English content on the internet
• enjoy books, songs, television and films in English

Cambridge English: A1 Movers

A1 Movers is the second level of three Cambridge English Qualifications designed for young learners. These tests introduce children to everyday written and spoken English and are an excellent way for them to gain confidence and improve their English.

The tests are written around familiar topics and focus on the skills needed to communicate effectively in English through listening, speaking, reading, and writing.

The module helps children to:
• understand basic instructions or take part in simple conversations
• understand basic notices, instructions or information
• complete basic forms and write notes, including times, dates and places

Cambridge English: A2 Flyers

A2 Flyers is the third of three Cambridge English Qualifications designed for young learners. These tests introduce children to everyday written and spoken English and are an excellent way for them to gain confidence and improve their English.

The tests are written around familiar topics and focus on the skills needed to communicate effectively in English through listening, speaking, reading, and writing.

The module helps children to:
• understand simple written English
• communicate in familiar situations
• understand and use basic phrases and expressions
• interact with English speakers who talk slowly and clearly

Cambridge English: A2 Key (KET)

An A2 Key qualification is proof of your ability to use English to communicate in simple situations.

The exam tests all four English language skills – reading, writing, listening, and speaking.

It should give you the confidence to go on and study for higher-level exams such as B1 Preliminary and B2 First.

Cambridge English: B1 Preliminary (PET)

Cambridge English: B2 First (FCE)

This exam is the logical steep in you language learning journey between B2 First and C2 Proficiency.

Cambridge English:
C2 Proficiency (CPE)

Cambridge English: C2 Proficiency (CPE) qualification shows the world that you have mastered English to an exceptional level. It proves that you are able to communicate with the fluency and sophistication of a highly competent English speaker.

Preparing for and passing the exam means you have the level of English that’s needed to study or work in a very senior professional or academic environment, for example on a postgraduate or PhD programme.

Cambridge English:
Teaching Knowledge Test (TKT)

TKT shows how you are developing as a teacher. It is ideal for people who want to prove their teaching knowledge with a globally recognised certificate.

TKT is a flexible series of modular teaching qualifications, which test your knowledge in specific areas of English language teaching. You can take as many modules as you want, over any time period. You receive a Cambridge English certificate for each module you complete.

After taking TKT, you can take other Cambridge English teaching qualifications such as ICELT and Delta.

The qualification shows that you can:

Cambridge English:
Diploma in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (DELTA)

Deepen your knowledge and understanding of English language teaching with Delta, an advanced blend of theory and practice that will help you to develop professionally. It gives you skills and techniques that will help you throughout your career.

Delta consists of three modules, which you can take together or separately, in any order and at any time. It’s a flexible, modular qualification – you study at your own pace, and the practical elements take place in your own workplace.

Delta is for teachers with at least one year’s experience. It’s suitable for teachers in any context, working with any age range – young learners, teenagers or adults. You have the opportunity to focus on a specialist area of study.

The qualification shows that you can:

• have a good understanding of methodology and approaches to teaching, learning and assessment
• understand and can apply the key principles of syllabus design and course planning
